Laser/IPL Facts
Laser/IPL hair removal known for removing unwanted hairs quickly, gently and effectively. The Laser/IPL works by sending an intense pulsed beam of light onto the desired area. The light passes directly through the skin and is absorbed by the pigment of the hair within the hair follicle causing heat and destroying future growth.
Laser/IPL hair removal requires multiple sessions for optimal results. This is because the hair grows in cycles. The only way that a hair can be successfully destroyed is in its active growing stage called anagen. Not all hairs grow in anagen at the same time thus several treatments are necessary.
The cost of the treatment is determined by the surface area that you wish to treat.
You can expect the successfully treated hairs to shed 1 – 2 weeks after each treatment. Skin redness is expected immediately after however will subside within 24 hours.
Light skin and dark hair makes Laser/IPL hair removal much easier to perform as the light discharged from the laser can target the dark hairs with ease. Darker skin may require more treatments for optimal results. If you have dark skin it is best to seek an experienced aesthetician.
